The road is open to the lake and the water is ice free and fishable. Access to the lake at the dam is good, but the trails heading up either side of the lake are snow covered though starting to open up a bit. Trout have been seen dimpling the surface so chances are emerger patterns should be working. The usual worms or PowerBait are both successful here. The Angel Lake Campground is closed due to snow but the lower elevation Angel Creek Campground is open.
