As the temperature of fall start to drop the weed bed around Spooner Lake will recede and the fishing will get better. A watercraft such as a float tube or kayak is the key to unlocking this lake’s hold on fishing. Fly anglers have had luck using black, brown, and green wooly buggers. This time of year anglers will need to transition to an intermediate line for deeper presentation. Fish are hanging around the 5’-6’ depth.
