Steelhead fishing is open on the Alsea River and listed tributaries. Fishing is slow. Alsea Hatchery is having a near average return to the hatchery of the early return Alsea stock. The wild broodstock fish should be showing in better numbers. Casting spinners, drifting bait or using a bobber and jig can be effective.
