Ice thickness at Cave Lake is approximately eight inches and the lake should still be safe to anglers; however it is advised that anglers use caution. With the predicted cooler temperatures it should be good through this weekend, but as the weather warms up next week, anglers should start drilling test holes before venturing too far onto the ice. Fishing has been fair to good for 8 to 12 inch fish. Worms, PowerBait and mealworms under a bobber should all work.
