Fishing was good over the weekend, but with the arrival of winds and cooler air temperatures the action has slowed. As water temperatures continue to warm in the coming weeks, black bass and catfish should become increasingly active. Bass action already is picking up in the Overton Arm where anglers have found good fishing with watermelon colored worms and Rooster Tails. Striped bass have been most active in the evenings. They have been taking anchovies fished just off the bottom.
