According to reports, anglers are catching stripers weighing in at 1 to 3 pounds from the fishing pier at Willow Beach. The fish are taking anchovies. The story is much the same at the south end of the reservoir, where anglers are catching similar-sized stripers while fishing off the bottom at Telephone Cove. In between, largemouth and smallmouth bass are hitting at the south end of Cottonwood Basin. The fish are hitting soft plastics and jigs in olive and watermelon colors.
