Willow Beach is producing large striped bass. Anglers are catching fish in the 5- to 10-pound range by casting trout swimbaits from the fishing pier. Kayakers are trolling in the early mornings to catch fish upwards of 20 pounds. On the lake, black bass action is good for those anglers able to deal with the heat. Smallmouth are quick to hit on soft plastics near Cottonwood Cove. For a striper bite on Mohave, try trolling swimbaits just above Davis Dam.
