Spring Chinook season is open the Dug Bar boat launch upstream to the deadline below Hells Canyon Dam. The bag limit will be 4 adipose fin-clipped spring Chinook per day of which no more than 1 may be an adult (> 24 inches). Anglers must cease fishing for salmon for the day when they retain 4 jack Chinook salmon or 1 adult salmon, whichever comes first Remember, barbless hooks and a Columbia Basin Endorsement are required when fishing for salmon.
Catch rates for spring Chinook have declined recently but some fish should still be around. The season will likely remain open until fish are no longer generally available.
Bass fishing will be good throughout the summer and fish will be susceptible to all methods typically used for bass.
