With mild weather in the forecast a trip to these lakes might be a nice outing. The lakes were closed most of the summer and there are still some closures after this summer’s wildfire. Information can be found here.
Anglers should check with the Umpqua National Forest (541-496-3532) for information on camp, road and ramp closures.
Anglers fishing the high lakes in the Umpqua District are encouraged to email fishing reports to Greg.f.Huchko@odfw.oregon.gov. Remember to only keep trout at least 8 inches long, and only one trout over 20 inches per day.
