Attention Boaters: There is an impassable boating hazard on the Necanicum River between Klootchie county park and the Hwy 101 boat ramps. (Exact location 45.96553, -123.92740). Boaters should avoid this obstruction for the time being.
The hatchery winter steelhead run on the Necanicum River is about done, and numbers of bright fish will be low. Wild steelhead (catch-and-release only) will continue to come in through March. The Necanicum is very low and clear, and fishing is slow as a result.
