Fish Lake receives 2,500 legal rainbow trout this week. There’s been plenty of rainbow trout stocked this spring including 500 larger pounder trout. Rain showers are forecast for Saturday most of the day and into Sunday morning. However, fishing should be good. PowerBait is usually the bait of choice for bank anglers, but nightcrawlers threaded under a bobber are good as well. Trollers should do well over near the springs.
The store, restaurant and marina are open. Call 541-949-8500 or check their Facebook page for more info. The ODOT trip check camera is always worth looking at before heading up and can be viewed here.
The reservoir has been a steady 47 percent over the last 2 weeks. The Forest Service ramp is launchable, as is the marina, which is private.
