Howard Prairie has started to fill with recent rain and snow and is at 15 percent full. We don’t have any recent reports from Howard.
Deeper water is available at various points near the dam, and water from Grizzly Creek at the upper end of the reservoir or springs near Red Rocks may provide some opportunity if ice is solid enough to walk on. Anglers are encouraged to check road conditions through ODOT Trip Check prior to traveling to Howard Prairie, and to check the ice fishing guidelines at the top of the zone report.
