2023 spring turkey hunting forecast
ODFW biologists share the latest updates for wild turkey hunting in their local district, as well as tips and tactics for bagging a bird.
Best bets for weekend fishing
- Just a few weeks left of the winter steelhead season on the north and mid-coast.
- April is a great month for Chinook fishing on the lower Rogue.
- Anglers are catching spring Chinook on the middle and upper Rogue, as well.
- Galesville Reservoir has had very good reports of anglers catching large numbers of holdover trout this week.
- Winter steelhead continue to move into the Clackamas and Sandy systems.
- Spring Chinook fishing opens on the Hood River on Saturday, April 15.
- Krumbo Reservoir is ice-free, has had good fishing for 16 to 18-inch rainbow trout and is being stocked this week.
