Emigrant is 15 percent full

Emigrant is 15 percent full, however the main boat ramp at the county park remains usable.‌

Fishing is fair for both smallmouth and largemouth bass. As reservoir levels drop, bass and other warmwater fish should are less likely to be active near shore and are more likely to be caught near the dam.‌

Legal rainbow trout were stocked in spring. Trout may become more active in the fall as temperatures cool.‌

There is a longstanding health advisory for consumption of resident warmwater species in Emigrant for high levels of mercury. Consult the sportfishing regulations or the Oregon Health Authority for more information on consumption guidelines. ‌

The most current elevations for Emigrant Reservoir and other Rogue Basin reservoirs can be found on the Bureau of Reclamation's website, here
