The Necanicum River has one of our earlier returning hatchery steelhead runs and there should be some of those fish around once the river drops back into shape following this high water. It may be fishable by the weekend but it's hard to tell; in addition, there is more rain predicted for Saturday. Whenever the river does drop and green up it will be a good bet for those wanting to get that first hatchery steelhead of the season.
