The Necanicum River should have hatchery steelhead throughout the fishery and wild fish showing up this month as well (catch-and-release only for wild steelhead). The Necanicum is a small basin and drops quickly; so, it will be a good bet after rain events when larger rivers are still high and off color. Boaters should use extreme caution on the Necanicum as the ice storm could have brought down trees and created new boating hazards.
