Woods Canyon and Willow Springs are can't miss destinations for one final, summer mountain excursion. Woods is being stocked with about 5,000 trout this week. 'Nuff said.
The anglers pictured to the right were simply kayak fishing at Woods Canyon on Wednesday with worms, ripping up rainbow trout. Nothing more peaceful, and stealthier, than kayaking or canoeing a mountain lake. No engine noise or fumes, great exercise, and as far as ability to catch fish, it might as well be cheating. Plus, it's a fishing method rooted in history.
