Rainbow Trout Are Hanging Tight in Pools South of Big Bend

Striper between 2-5 pounds are hitting anchovies and swimbaits on the Colorado River. Some striper anglers throwing topwater lures are being surprised with smallmouth bass catches instead. Rainbow trout are reportedly hanging tight in pools south of Big Bend State Recreation Area. Spinners, tube jigs, and night crawlers have resulted in success.
