Brown trout are nearly done spawning in the Owyhee River but anglers should still avoid wading in gravely areas even if they do not see redds or spawning fish to avoid damaging developing eggs.
Fly fishing has been good recently, trout are biting on small midge patterns. Larger trout are now concentrated in the deep slow pools. Angling in these locations is similar to fishing a pond or lake but can be productive.
