Dankworth Pond has been receiving its stockings of trout. Anglers will be happy to know that the overgrown cattails were mowed down and the shoreline was trimmed in anticipation of the trout stockings. After the first stocking, anglers were reporting success with spinners, garlic scented PowerBait, and small marshmallows fished on light line in the 4- to 6-pound range. Mornings have been best. Night crawlers or mealworms are recommended for sunfish or bluegills. Bass fishing has been slow.
