Striped bass anglers are still catching a few fish fishing from Rocky Point to Riverton. Some anglers are plunking with bait, while others are casting swimbaits as they drift along the riverbank.
All salmon fishing is closed in the Coquille Basin for the remainder of the year due to very poor returns of wild Chinook.
Steelhead anglers will start fishing in the lower Coquille River with the next significant rain. Early in the season most anglers plunk with Spin-n-Glos around the town of Coquille.
Trout fishing in streams and rivers is closed until May 22.
