The release from Lost Creek Reservoir is around 3,800 cfs and 49F. Dodge Bridge is around 4,100 cfs and 50F. With warm temperatures forecast to continue through the weekend, expect river levels to stay near this level for a bit.

Winter steelhead should still be around for a few more weeks. Last week 15 new winter steelhead showed up to the hatchery, and the swim-in season total is 1,192. Wild winter steelhead harvest is closed for the season.

Last week 1 new spring Chinook swam into the hatchery bringing the season total to 666. Many anglers have switched gears to Chinook fishing.

No wild spring Chinook harvest is allowed upstream of Dodge Bridge. Make sure to check the Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations for each section of river before you head out.

Trout season re-opened on May 22 and the first salmon flies are starting to hatch. It may be a few weeks yet before water temperatures rise enough to jump-start the big hatch.

Please avoid wading in and fishing near salmon redds.

For up-to-date river levels, check all the USGS Rogue gauges here.
