The Nehalem River crested over minor flood stage and may not be fishable this week. Being a large basin, it can take a long time to drop and clear. In addition, the only opportunity on the mainstem Nehalem will be wild winter steelhead (catch and release only) and numbers will be low this time of year. The winter steelhead run on the Nehalem peaks January through March.
