Coho fishing on Siltcoos and Tahkenitch lakes is still open, however the fishery is certainly winding down. The Siltcoos dam is not controlled by ODFW and we have no control over when the dam is opened to let fish come through into the lake. ‌

Coho are definitely in the lake and being caught although not in large numbers as we move into the final bit of the season. With the rains last two weeks we should hopefully see one last flush of fish coming into the lakes. It's been a slower season overall, but this will be your last few weeks of coho fishing on the lakes as they close Dec. 31 to coho fishing. ‌

Check out the fingers of the lakes for incoming coho and try trolling along the banks or casting spinners into covered bank areas.
