The Wilson River is on the drop and may be in prime condition by the weekend. Steelhead fishing is expected to be fair to good as there should be hatchery and wild (catch-and-release only for wilds) throughout the system.
Hatchery winter steelhead on the Wilson are from wild broodstock and as such the run peaks January through March.
