On the Colorado River below Davis Dam (report courtesy of Rusty Braun of Riviera Marina), a local angler recently fished from shore in the Rotary Park area shortly after a trout stocking. She landed a nice rainbow trout weighing 1.7 pounds and measuring 16.5 inches, using a crankbait. Reports are that the Nature Center and Community Park areas have some trout as well. Anglers will need to find the spots where they're holding. Striped bass anglers are having great success, landing limits of stripers. The Parkway Bridge area has been productive for larger fish, as well as Community Park and up near Davis Dam. This time of year, smaller stripers are in, and anchovies are producing well.
