The release from the dam is 1,750 cfs, and the temperature at release is 43F. Reservoir outflow should stabilize around this number and begin to decrease next week. The Applegate is currently open for trout and winter steelhead fishing. Only hatchery winter steelhead can be retained.
Winter steelhead fishing will take a little while to pick up on this river but with all the water fish may show up soon. There have been people fishing the Applegate, but we don't have reports of any catching.
